The sea turtle warms up on the hot sand. “ Honu” is the Hawaiian word for turtle. Scientists say
they have been on earth for 300 million years and they are very well adapted to their coral reef
habitat as a result. The Hawaiian word Honua, “Earth Life”, is very close to “Honu..”
