This was shot from a south side sunset boat tour in Nov. of 98 if you look closely at a print you
can see Niihau, “The Forbidden Island” on the horizon off in the distance. It is one of the brightest
colored sunsets I have ever seen, I did not enhance this or use a filter. My camera is a Nikon F3
with a whole collection of Nikon lenses. On this shot I used Fuji Provia 100 asa slide film and a
28mm lens. This is the image that won the Hawaii Magazine photo contest 2nd place scenics
professional category.
